Almeda  was  raised a town girl, but has been living her cowgirl dreams in Montana for over two decades. Born out of place and time in Coos Bay, she was the only one in her family to dream of horses and wear shiney red cowgirl boots while walking the beaches of the Oregon coast. Almeda was hitting the leather of her beloved rocking horse at age three, and rode the endless range of her imagination in a swing set saddle. When she was tall enough to throw a leg up, she rode off into many a backyard sunset astride her trusty propane tank.

When the family moved to some inland acerage the summer of her 8th grade year, Almeda got her first real horse, Black Jack, a grade Morgan/Quarter cross. Years later, after college, kids and life changes of all kinds, Almeda is living her western dream in Huntley, MT, along the banks of the Yellowstone River with her Marlboro Man sweetheart, Merritt Bradshaw.

Almeda studied violin, cello and piano through college, has a BA in Elementary Education and is self-taught on the mandolin and guitar. She has taught dozens of students of all ages to play stringed instruments from her former private studio and retail store, A Room For Music, in Big Sandy, MT, and currently teaches Western music in her M2B Ranch Music Studio.

Almeda has written poetry, journals and songs since her teen years, and is also a visual artist, primarily an oil pastel impressionist.
Almeda has been performing her music and poetry at cowboy gatherings throughout Montana and beyond since 1997.
